Description:

Chlorine is a greenish-yellow compressed liquefied gas with a pungent and unpleasant odour.

Packing & Storage:

Chlorine is available in 100 kg cylinders and 900 kg tonners.

Storage and handling:

Ensure good ventilation/exhaustion at the workplace. Open and handle receptacle with care. Keep locked up. Keep container dry. Do not ingest. Do not breathe gas fumes vapours spray. Never add water to this product. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Keep away from incompatibles such as oxidising agents, organic materials, metals, alkalis and moisture. Always refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for detailed information on storage and handling.

Safety:

Provide local exhaust or process enclosure ventilation system. Ensure compliance with applicable exposure limits. Wear splash resistant safety goggles with a face shield.
